HTML - Hypertext Markup Language

HTML – Hypertext Markup Language – a markup language for the creation of web pages. It provides a means to describe the structure of text-based information in a document. This is done using labels, also know as tags, surrounded by less-than (<) and greater-than (>) signs. (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTML).
